The household trash collection is on a delayed schedule this week due to equipment repairs. Yard Waste Collection has not been affected.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday's Route has been completed.
Tuesday and Thursday's Route will be collected on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Friday's Route will be collected on Saturday, April 19, 2025 (Friday is a holiday and the Wayne County Landfill will be closed).
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

The Town of Mount Olive Utility Department is performing scheduled maintenance on the water tower located at the Boling Plant. During this time, customers may experience discolored water. Please contact the Water Billing Department at 919-658-9537 if you are affected by this issue. After normal business hours please dial 919-658-5031 option 0 and you will be connected to Non-Emergency Dispatch.
Please be reassured the water is safe for consumption.

Per Interim Town Manager Glenn Holland,
We will be waiving late fees for past due water accounts and no account will be cut-off this month.
This will allow the finance department time to address other finance duties.
Beginning Monday, February 17, 2025 and until further notice the Water Billing Department will be operating on the following schedule for customers paying their water bills:
Monday : 8:30am -5:00pm
Tuesday: 8:30am – 1pm
Wednesday; 8:30 – 1pm
Thursday : 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: Closed to Customers
